Production- Table of Contents Mockup

Hello Beautiful People! Since I already know how I want my page layouts, I can start designing my pages in InDesign. The first one I did was the table of contents spread.

The first thing I did was create a large spread, that will be split into two pages (I just used the center line to differentiate) and added the words "Table of Contents" in the center, but I ended up moving it up a little bit to make more space for the words. I was sure to be mindful of the center line the whole time so that I don't have words in between pages that would get cut off.

The next thing I did was add the first heading, and It took me a while to figure out how I wanted the words to be placed, especially since there were going to be 8 of them.

Once I finally figured out the layout of the words, I added the rest of the articles and adjusted the sizes. I was sure to have the two most gymnastics-centered ones at the bottom because I might change the colors and have those as the "special edition" articles, but I can't determine what colors I'm going to use until I add the photos.

I'm planning on adding photos to the top section, so for now, I just added rectangles to fill in the space, and I'll replace them with photos when I take them. I still might change some things later on like the font and background colors and photo layout, but for now, this is my final mockup
